Introduction-
Photoshop is
another adobe product that is great for editing and producing beautiful
picturesque, advertisements and well designed works of art. With Photoshop you
can produce or edit pictures, posters and flyers. You can also make adjustments
to pictures, in order to lighten, darken, crop or even make it black and white
along with many more features. In this task I was instructed to complete several
small easy tasks on Photoshop that would help broaden my knowledge in this
area. After I had completed all the tasks, I went on to complete my assignment.
The software package-
Photoshops software package is wonderful at editing, creating and can even fully changing photographs. This software was extremely easy for me to grasp after doing all the set tasks in class. Having the opportunity to learn this wonderful software has definitely helped me in many aspects of my life. Great product.
The very main concepts that were necessary to learn in Photoshop.
Layers- Layers are used to edit your work without changing the original work. As shown in the picture, the boxes form separate layers. It allows you to make changes that can improve the aesthetics of the work without making it permanent.
Magic wand- The magic wand would be one of many necessary concepts that would need to be learnt. The magic wand helps to select the background of a desired picture just by a wave of the wand over the favoured area.
The text tool allows you to write on your work
for either a title, sub headings or informative information.
The text tool allows you to write on you work by creating a
new layer so it does not damage the original work.

For our assignment task for Photoshop, we had to design and create an
advertisement in the form of a poster and flyer over a certain period of time.
For our design, we could create anything we desired. It could have been a
hobby, a sport or just something out of the ordinary. I did not want to do
something conventional, I wanted to design something out of the ordinary, so I
came up with the idea of ‘Just DANCE Studios’. Just DANCE Studios was an
advertisement for a dance studio that expressed freedom, excitement and a chance
to have a fun time, for all ages. My poster and flyer was designed to catch the
eye of the public and make them interested towards the advertisement. And I think
I have successfully done that.

Personal review of the unit-
I enjoyed this fantastic unit of Photoshop, it was a extremely good unit to learn and I would definitely to do it again. When learning Photoshop, the tasks that were given to me were very helpful in the learning curve of understanding this fantastic software. I would recommend it to anyone who is interested because it's just a fantastic product and unit.
Level of enjoyment-
When I was first learning this software, that was completely new to me, I found it was hard to find all the tools and options. But as I started to do the tasks and i started to understand how the software worked, I fell in love. The enjoyment of this unit for me, would definitely 10/10, it was a great unit and I recommend it to anyone who is interested.
